When you are stenciling a border around the edge of a room, or maybe adding a chair rail accent stencil, you need to lay down a guideline to make sure that you stay straight. You can measure and draw a light line with a pencil, or you can snap a chalk line. Then you have a reference point to position your stencil as you work your way around the room. You will be painting your stencil design and then removing your stencil while the paint is still wet. So be careful not to smudge the design as you remove the stencil. Then just move your stencil to the next spot along your line, and stencil the next segment. If you are doing more than one color in your stencil, you should lay down the stencil for the first color, and then when it is dry, you can go back and stencil in your second color.
Blank wall space doesn't do much to enhance the décor of any room, and in a dining room it can make the room seem cold and unwelcoming. To create a focal point, you can use one large item and accent it with smaller items or you can create a wall grouping with several smaller items. For example, you could start with a large painting, a wrought iron or an architectural wall hanging, a tapestry or mirror and accent it with smaller coordinating items, such as candle wall sconces, vintage plates or cast iron accents. Or creating a stunning arrangement with a visually interesting collage of smaller pieces: tie them together by color, theme, or material.
The display cabinets are as important as the rest of the dining room furniture. Apart from adding grandeur to the entire dining room, the units serve are great in holding for all your priceless items such as cup and saucers, glasses, salad plates, soup bowls, etc. Another useful product that can elevate the appearance of your room is a console table. It occupies very little space and hence the product can be placed against the wall. The console table can be used for placing decorative items or simply keep a fruit bowl and other utensils, if there's not enough space on the dining table. For people who have a spacious dining room, even sideboards can enhance the entire look of the place.
