A rich floral drapery will stand strong with a black table and will introduce and match your accented hues of amber that you accessorized earlier with. It will also add the accents of brown, coral, and amber. If you add leaves to the table, it will elongate it into a more formal state. With your table and draperies in their proper place, it is finally time to add your rug. A subtle rug with a grid of black, brown, and sandy colors will beautifully tie into the dining room area. Use of nylon fibers are best as they are easiest to care for.
In contrast, rooms with a more relaxed atmosphere usually present medium or lighter shades of wood with wide grain patterns. Sideboards and hutches also appear quite often in the informal room, but they are also of a lighter shade than the mahoganies and dark pines of their formal counterparts.
Color is one of the biggest concerns when it comes to the feeling you get when you enter the room. Light colors are often the best choice because they will make the space look bigger and brighter. Try using light shades ranging from white to brown choosing something that compliments your furniture is the best. If your space is small try adding a mirror on one of the walls to give it the illusion of being bigger while adding a decorative touch.
